Visa Launches the Second Cohort of Africa Fintech Accelerator Program.

Visa, a global leader in digital payments, has announced the launch of the second cohort of its Africa Fintech Accelerator Program. The program is designed to support promising early-stage fintech startups across the continent, with a focus on those addressing critical challenges in areas such as mobile money and financial inclusion.

"We are excited to build on the success of the first cohort of the Africa Fintech Accelerator Program and welcome a new group of innovative startups to the program," said Oluwatoyin Solemi, Visa's Head of Innovation for Sub-Saharan Africa. "We believe that these startups have the potential to make a real difference in the lives of Africans by providing them with access to affordable and reliable financial services."

The program will provide selected startups with a range of benefits, including:

  • Mentorship and guidance from Visa experts and industry leaders

  • Networking opportunities with investors and potential partners

  • Access to Visa's global network and resources

  • Financial support to help them grow their businesses

Startups can apply to the program until February 29th, 2024.

The Africa Fintech Accelerator Program is part of Visa's broader commitment to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship across Africa. The company has invested over $1 billion in the continent over the past five years and has partnered with several organizations to support the growth of the African fintech ecosystem. APPLY HERE
