Tespire, an innovative EdTech startup founded in 2022 by Abdulkadir Suleiman Lapai and Umar Madugu, has announced the successful completion of its pre-seed funding round. The company, which originated in Northern Nigeria, is on a mission to transform school administration by equipping schools with digital tools such as tablets and internet access. The startup’s platform simplifies processes like revenue collection and administrative management for school owners, helping them streamline operations. Tespire also envisions leveraging the data gathered through these digital tools to power personalized learning experiences with the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the near future. Starting from its roots in Northern Nigeria, Tespire has steadily expanded into the emerging tech space in Abuja. The company has also formed strategic partnerships with major players such as MTN Nigeria, Flutterwave, and Remita to enhance its offerings. The fresh pre-seed funding will enable Tespire to scale its operations, focusing on onboarding more schools and enhancing access to quality education for young learners across Nigeria.
“Tespire's goal is much bigger than solving administrative problems,” explained co-founder Abdulkadir Suleiman Lapai. “We aim to use data-driven solutions to expand access to high-quality education throughout Nigeria and beyond, starting at the local level and scaling across Sub-Saharan Africa.”
