MTN Nigeria, in collaboration with the Lagos State Government, has launched MyLagosApp, an innovative application designed to revolutionize urban mobility, commerce, and lifestyle in Lagos.

According to Karl Toriola, CEO of MTN Nigeria, the app serves as a comprehensive platform for information, services, entertainment, hospitality, e-government, and virtually any activity one might engage in within Lagos State. "This solution will support indigenes and residents of Lagos State in navigating their daily lives," Toriola stated.

The launch event, held in Lagos, was attended by the Executive Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was represented by Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat. The Deputy Governor praised the initiative, highlighting its significance in enhancing the lives of Lagosians. He emphasized that the app will provide efficiency, connectivity, and accessibility to the residents of Lagos.

Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the Commissioner for Transportation in Lagos State, also spoke about the MyLagosApp, noting that it is designed to complement the state's transportation strategy by offering users various options and guiding them on how to use these options effectively.

Osiyemi added that the app will provide real-time updates on commuter movement and traffic patterns, enabling predictive analysis of road infrastructure. This feature will assist Lagos residents in selecting the fastest and most convenient transport routes.

Shoyinka Shodunke, MTN's Chief Information Officer, indicated that the app was developed by MTN's Software Lab, with a strong commitment to adhering to global security standards.
