Flutterwave, Africa's leading payments technology company, has obtained an International Money Transfer Operator (IMTO) license from the Reserve Bank of Malawi, enabling it to facilitate international remittances into the country.

The license will allow Flutterwave to process remittances from Malawians and other Africans living and working abroad, providing residents with access to competitive exchange rates, faster money transfers, user-friendly mobile and web platforms, and 24/7 customer support.

Flutterwave's cross-border remittance solution, Send App, also adheres to the highest security and compliance standards, protecting customers from fraud, scams, and other financial risks.

"At Flutterwave, we understand the critical role we play in enabling individuals and businesses to navigate the global financial terrain seamlessly," said Olugbenga "GB" Agboola, Founder and CEO of Flutterwave. "This expansion spotlights our dedication to customer satisfaction as we bring the world closer to their fingertips."

The IMTO license is a significant milestone for Flutterwave, as it demonstrates its commitment to regulatory compliance, transparency, and customer satisfaction. It also aligns with the Reserve Bank of Malawi's strong commitment to fostering financial inclusion and propelling the digital economy forward.

Customers can now expect a seamless and reliable experience when utilizing Flutterwave's international remittance services, which will help to boost economic growth, stabilize exchange rates, enable investments in infrastructure development, and create jobs and support for small businesses in Malawi.
