Chicoa Fish Farm is an aquaculture business, built on Lake Cahora Bassa in Mozambique. Founded by Gerry McCollum and Damien Legros in 2015, the farm has developed offshore breeding as a cornerstone of its approach to tilapia farming. By combining genetic selection with sustainable husbandry practices, the farm demonstrates low feed conversion ratios for tilapia. The farm also partners with the Department of Fisheries and strategically aligned Development Finance Institutions to train and equip small-scale tilapia farmers.
