Kenya-based digital healthcare startup, Zuri Health, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Morocco's UM6P Ventures to support its growth and expansion across Africa. The funding will be used to upgrade existing technology, hire additional personnel, and expand services and reach more patients in more regions. Zuri Health, founded in 2021, offers accessible healthcare services to patients through its mobile app, website, WhatsApp chatbot, and SMS service. Patients can communicate and consult with doctors, purchase medication, schedule lab tests and diagnostic procedures, and arrange home visits with licensed medical doctors. UM6P Ventures is the investment arm of UM6P, which advances entrepreneurship and accelerates scientific innovation in Morocco and Africa, and is backed by the OCP Group. The company invests in early-stage African-based ventures and runs two funds: a Digital Transformation fund and a Deeptech Ventures fund.
