Zeal Leverages $4 Million Investment to Scale AI-Powered Customer Engagement Across EMEA.

05 Feb 2024

Egyptian fintech Zeal has secured a $4 million funding round led by Raed Ventures and Cur8 Capital, propelling its expansion of innovative AI-powered customer engagement solutions across the EMEA region. This follows Zeal's recent entry into the UK market, demonstrating its ambitious growth trajectory.

Founded in 2019 by Omar Ebeid, Zeal empowers retailers and businesses with payment solutions that transform in-store customer interactions and foster lasting brand loyalty. Its groundbreaking SmartPOS Plugin technology leverages existing credit card machines to unlock powerful functionalities.

"This investment fuels our vision of utilizing AI to revolutionize retail customer engagement globally," enthuses Ebeid. "We aim to bridge the gap between billions of customers and millions of retailers, creating a win-win for both parties."

SmartPOS Plugin lies at the heart of Zeal's offerings, redefining in-store engagement and payment intelligence. It transforms ordinary card terminals into customer identification, segmentation, and retargeting hubs, enabling retailers to connect with their customers in a whole new way.

Zeal's journey has been marked by notable achievements. Partnerships with industry leaders like Ingenico and Network International, coupled with accolades like the Visa Everywhere Initiative, showcase the company's potential. This funding infusion will bolster Zeal's reach and impact, expanding its acquirer portfolio and simplifying global POS terminal integration. Additionally, the team plans to develop advanced data and analytics solutions for FMCGs and Telecom sectors.

"We're thrilled to support Omar and the Zeal team," comments Wael Nafee of Raed Ventures. "Their Egypt & MENA-based team is building a world-first product that disrupts the global payment acquiring market. We believe their holistic solution holds immense potential for payment service providers and POS manufacturers worldwide."

With a solid foundation and a clear vision for the future, Zeal is poised to become the leading Value Added Service solution for payment acquirers and merchants globally.
