Venture for Africa Announces Opening of Applications for Second Bootcamp Offering

17 Jun 2023

Applications are now open for the second bootcamp offering by Venture for Africa, a renowned talent community and premier source for recruiting top tech startup professionals on the African continent. Venture for Africa is dedicated to facilitating the transition of exceptional global talent into roles within the African tech startup ecosystem. Its flagship three-month fellowship program provides participants with exposure to local market nuances, expert-led training tailored to key roles, and connections to leading startups actively seeking new hires.

Venture for Africa collaborates closely with startups to co-create its programs, offering fellows actionable projects to complete, expert-led workshops in specific areas, and a unique opportunity to fast-track their interview process for their desired roles upon completion of the program.

Following the success of the inaugural Fintech Product Management program, which is currently in its second cohort, Venture for Africa has introduced the Go-To-Market program as the latest addition to its expanding VFA Bootcamp Series.

The Go-To-Market Bootcamp is a comprehensive 10-week program designed to empower participants with a deep understanding of core functions and skills necessary for revenue growth within businesses. It covers a wide range of topics, including market and customer research, competitive analysis, brand messaging and positioning, product and service pricing and adaptation, launch marketing strategies, partnership development, sales pipeline creation, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to integrate learning from multiple disciplines into their own areas of specialization.

Throughout the program, participants will attend online masterclasses facilitated by seasoned industry experts who specialize in each topic. They will also be assigned readings, assignments, and real-world fieldwork to apply their knowledge in practical settings. The program will utilize engaging content, practical use cases, and stimulating deliverables to develop the skills required for successful go-to-market strategies.

The Go-To-Market Bootcamp welcomes individuals already working in their chosen fields as well as those aspiring to enter the space. The program is particularly suited for individuals with strong strategic and operational skills seeking to gain further experience in growth and revenue teams. It is also beneficial for mid-level professionals with substantial expertise in marketing, sales, product development, finance, or legal roles within African tech startups who are aiming to advance into more senior positions.

"The skills covered in the Go-To-Market Bootcamp are essential for core team members within any business looking to launch or scale in African markets. Since the successful launch of our Product Bootcamp last year, we have witnessed high demand for a similar offering in this space. We are excited to bring it to life, led by experienced talent from some of the best-known tech businesses globally," stated Thea Sokolowski, co-founder of Venture For Africa.

Upon completion of the bootcamp, Venture for Africa will leverage its extensive network to connect participants who demonstrate exceptional potential with mid-level and senior roles in growth and expansion at leading startups actively seeking new hires.

Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their applications for the Go-To-Market Bootcamp, seizing this unique opportunity to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for success in African markets and beyond. Make Application Here
