Trella Secures $3.5 Million Investment from Avanz Capital Egypt, Boosting Egypt's Truck Marketplace

05 Jul 2023

Trella, an Egyptian truck marketplace, has recently raised $3.5 million in funding from Avanz Capital Egypt, a newly established private equity fund. This investment not only reflects Avanz Capital Egypt's confidence in Trella's potential but also positions Trella as a significant player in the thriving logistics sector of the country.
The partnership between Avanz Capital Egypt and Trella aims to harness Trella's innovative solutions and contribute to the expansion and success of the logistics industry. Avanz Capital Egypt's investment fund focuses on environmentally friendly projects and plans to issue "EGYCOP" carbon credits. With an initial target of raising one billion pounds, the fund demonstrates Avanz Capital Egypt's commitment to sustainable investments and the promotion of a greener economy.

Avanz Capital Egypt's support extends beyond Trella. The fund is also launching two new investment funds, diversifying its portfolio. The first fund aims to provide essential capital and resources to support the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), driving their progress in the market.
By nurturing these enterprises, Avanz Capital Egypt aims to contribute to the overall development and expansion of the Egyptian market. The initial closing of the Avanz Manara Fund in March saw approximately 905 million pounds in financial commitments, with a quarter of the amount already paid.
In addition to launching new funds, Avanz Capital Egypt actively explores opportunities to invest in existing funds and companies that align with its strategic objectives and have significant growth potential.

Avanz Capital Egypt's investment strategy encompasses various sectors, including healthcare, logistics, the green economy, renewable energy, and defense. The parent company, "I Squared Global Capital," manages assets worth over $13 billion in 130 companies globally, with a specific focus on startups and emerging markets in Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
Through its support of Trella, the introduction of new funds, and investments in existing funds and companies, Avanz Capital Egypt demonstrates a comprehensive investment approach. By diversifying its portfolio across sectors and supporting emerging and established enterprises, Avanz Capital Egypt aims to generate attractive returns while actively contributing to the economic development of Egypt.
As Avanz Capital Egypt expands its investment activities, the fund strives to make a positive impact on the Egyptian market and establish itself as a trusted partner for businesses seeking growth and investment opportunities.
With its dynamic approach and strategic investments, Avanz Capital Egypt continues to play a pivotal role in driving innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable economic growth in Egypt and beyond.
