We begin the year with Stephen Fola-Badejo Fola Badejo, a tech entrepreneur who is utilizing technology to tackle common problems in the logistics business and to bridge the gap. He's our choice for this week's Founders Feature.
His interest in logistics was inspired by divine intervention after he graduated as a human physiologist eight years ago.
He went on to establish The Removalist, a relocation firm that assists individuals in shifting from their old homes to their new homes, allowing them to move with ease and elegance. He also founded TRM Exprezz, a dispatch delivery firm that provides door-to-door last Mike delivery for SMEs.
During these early phases, he was documenting and writing down his mistakes and experiences, beginning small and addressing the question, "How might technology make things better?"
By late 2019/2020, amid the darkness of Covid 19, where contact-less deliveries were required, he immediately capitalized on his queries by offering solutions and launched LogiTrak.
LogiTrak is an e-logistics startup that links certified and trustworthy truckers with B2B and B2C companies in Nigeria and Africa to assist them to transport their freight at the best attainable market pricing.
We provide tracking as a service, allowing customers to monitor the 360-degree visibility of their commodities in transit.
We also provide Insurance as a Service, which allows truck owners and people in the transportation industry to have access to asset and health insurance products with no paperwork in less than 5 minutes and simple access to claims.
Stephen FolaBadejo has backed out of certain investment arrangements because the terms do not correspond with his company's objectives. He and his team are now bootstrapping, and their headquarters are in Lagos. He is intent on making an impact, producing results, and is dedicated to his profession. He is a goal-oriented, disciplined, and honest individual.
His ambition is expansive, but he plans to establish a brand and product that will free Africa by streamlining its cross-border commerce and logistical operations. He is a staunch believer in the African Continental Free Trade Agreement, which he expects will unleash African trade.
