Prembly Merges with Peleza to Form Unified Compliance and Digital Security Powerhouse.

12 Jul 2024

Prembly, a compliance and digital security company, has merged with Peleza, an East African background checks and KYB firm. This strategic alliance aims to enhance services across the finance, telecommunications, and e-commerce sectors.

The companies will now operate under the unified brand, Prembly Group. Lanre Ogungbe, CEO of Prembly, highlighted that the merger will deepen industry knowledge and elevate technologies, helping them exceed client expectations. Marita Mutemi of Peleza, with over 15 years of experience, will join the leadership team to drive innovation and strategic initiatives.

This merger will increase growth resources and establish Prembly Group as a leading data infrastructure and compliance solutions provider in emerging markets. With over 100 employees and offices in Uganda, Kenya, Nigeria, and the US, Prembly Group aims to expand globally.

Customers can expect enhanced identity verification, background checks, risk management, and regulatory compliance solutions. Peleza's experience and partnerships with companies like Uber and FedEx will bring significant value to the new entity.

Previously, Prembly acquired Tunnel to bolster its security solutions. Founded in 2021, Prembly has quickly become a key player in digital security, processing over 40 million verifications, a number expected to triple with this merger.
