How to Edit, Delete, and Secure Your Scheduled WhatsApp Calls.

10 Jun 2024

WhatsApp call links are a fantastic way to easily set up video or voice calls with friends and family. But what if you need to make changes to a scheduled call, or remove it entirely? This guide will show you how to edit and delete scheduled WhatsApp calls on both iPhone and Android devices, along with some key security tips to keep your calls safe.

Editing Scheduled WhatsApp Calls

  1. Locate the Call: Open your device's calendar app and find the scheduled WhatsApp call you want to modify.

  2. Find the Edit Button: Look for the edit function depending on your device. iPhone users will see an "Edit" button in the top right corner, while Android users will have a pen icon.

  3. Make Your Changes: Once in edit mode, you can freely adjust the date, time, or any other details of the call.

  4. Save Your Edits: Don't forget to save your changes! iPhone users tap "Done," while Android users need to select "Save."

Deleting Scheduled WhatsApp Calls

  1. Find the Call:  Open your device's calendar app and locate the WhatsApp call you want to remove.

  2. Delete for iPhone: iPhone users, simply tap "Delete Event" displayed at the bottom of the screen.

  3. Delete for Android: Android users, find the three dots in the top right corner of the event and tap them. Choose "Delete" from the menu and confirm your deletion.

Keeping Your WhatsApp Calls Secure

While convenient, WhatsApp call links require some security awareness:

  • Share Wisely: Treat call links like virtual invitations. Only share them with people you trust and who you intend to be on the call.

  • Blocked Users Stay Out: If you've blocked someone on WhatsApp, they won't be able to use your call link to join the conversation, even if they have it. This adds an extra layer of security.

  • Links Don't Last Forever: Don't worry about creating a lingering call link. If left unused for 30 days, the link automatically expires, preventing confusion and maintaining security.

  • WhatsApp Prioritizes Security: In rare cases, WhatsApp might deactivate a call link for security reasons. While this may seem inconvenient, it demonstrates their commitment to protecting user privacy and preventing misuse.

By following these simple steps, you can effortlessly manage your scheduled WhatsApp calls and ensure a safe and secure calling experience for yourself and your contacts.
