Glamera, an Egyptian finance company, receives permission to grow in Saudi Arabia

Egyptian beauty services booking platform, Glamera, has achieved a significant milestone by securing the coveted fintech license "SoftPOS" from Saudi Payments, the prominent payment system entity in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Payments, established by the Ministry of Finance under the oversight of the Saudi Central Bank, has bestowed this license upon Glamera, igniting a new era of growth and an unparalleled customer experience within the Saudi market.

Since its inception in September 2019, Glamera has emerged as a frontrunner in the realm of beauty services booking platforms. The platform revolutionizes how users engage with beauty and wellness appointments by providing access to an extensive network of contracted providers across various sectors, including salons, clinics, spas, gyms, and dental services.

With a robust presence boasting tens of thousands of users and an array of providers in Egypt, Glamera's influence extends beyond borders, reaching the bustling streets of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Last year, the startup secured a noteworthy $1.3 million seed funding round, fueling its aspirations of expansive operations across the MENA region.

Glamera introduces "Glamera Pay," a revolutionary payment solution for the Saudi market, enhancing customer trust and convenience. CEO Mohammed Hassan emphasizes the potential for unlocking new opportunities and expanding reach, catering to a wider customer base and strategic partnerships.

With the fintech license as its cornerstone, Glamera is set to redefine the beauty services landscape in Saudi Arabia. This milestone signifies not only the growth of a dynamic startup but also the intersection of technology and convenience in enhancing the lives of customers across the region.
