Ghanaian AI startup Copianto AI has landed a significant €100,000 investment from seasoned investors on Season 3 of Shark Tank Malta. This strategic boost, secured for a 30% stake in their Maltese branch, fuels Copianto's ambitious European expansion plans. Copianto AI empowers businesses to build user-friendly conversational AI applications across diverse platforms. The secured funds will be primarily used to establish Copianto's Maltese headquarters, creating a strategic hub for their European foray.
Founded by MEST Africa alumni Timothy K. Afrane Wuo-Asare, Alex Boateng, Daniella Darlington, and Sosu Alfred, Copianto AI initially focused on conversational AI apps. However, they strategically pivoted towards robust enterprise-level search infrastructure solutions, a move that impressed the sharks.
This investment isn't the first win for Copianto AI. Having already secured a $100,000 pre-seed investment from MEST Africa in 2022 and participated in the BlueSPACE Innovation Exchange Program, their Shark Tank success further validates their potential.
Four prominent investors joined the Copianto AI journey:
Mark Bajada, Chairman of Malta's leading alternative energy provider, Bajada Group
Alexander Fenech, CEO of Brown's Pharma, Malta's largest pharmacy chain
Dr. Kirsy Kullboer Rojo, Co-Founder of online wallet giant Skrill
Dino Fino, CEO and founder of leading furniture maker and distributor Dino Fino Group
"This investment empowers us to redefine the conversational AI landscape," stated a Copianto AI representative. The funds will not only enable the establishment of their Maltese headquarters but also integrate Copianto's technology into the investors' portfolios, fostering accelerated growth and market penetration.
Copianto AI envisions establishing itself as a key player in driving the widespread adoption of AI-powered search infrastructure across the EU market. With their ambitious plans and seasoned backers, they're poised to reshape the future of conversational AI within Europe and beyond.
