Chari Launches Digitized Chain of B2B Stores for Local Grocery Shops

05 May 2023

Chari, a company that specializes in the digital distribution of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in Morocco, has recently introduced a new chain of B2B stores to cater to the needs of local grocery stores. These stores offer a wide range of high-quality products at competitive prices, which aim to enhance the product offerings of grocery stores and increase their profitability. What makes Chari stores stand out is that they are completely digital, allowing grocery shopkeepers to order products through electronic terminals with the option of either picking up their goods in less than ten minutes or having them delivered to their stores immediately. Moreover, Chari’s physical stores also provide a "click and collect" service, enabling shopkeepers to order products on the Chari app and collect them from any Chari store at their convenience. These stores are also designed to offer training on digital tools such as Chari’s e-commerce app and Karny.ma, a credit management and bookkeeping app. Additionally, the stores will act as dark stores and neighborhood warehouses for a 2-hour delivery of any products ordered from the Chari eCommerce app.

Chari's new B2B stores aim to educate shopkeepers about digitization, help them improve their procurement process, and enable them to better serve their customers. The first two stores were opened on March 16, 2023, in Casablanca and el Jadida, Morocco. The company has set a target of opening 100 stores by 2024, with a product range of over 1000 SKUs covering around 100 brands ranging from food to hygiene products. The goal is to provide easy access to quality products at competitive prices for grocery store owners to facilitate their supply and meet their customers' needs.

Ismael Belkhayat, co-founder of Chari, expressed his excitement about launching this new chain of B2B grocery stores in Morocco. The company is confident that these shops will help grocery stores digitize, improve their product offerings, and increase profitability. They are committed to providing quality products at competitive prices and helping grocery stores go digital to better serve their customers.
