10 Jun 2023

Cathedis, a Moroccan delivery, and e-logistics startup, recently raised $735,000 in a pre-series A funding round. The funding was provided by Afrimobility, a venture capital firm from the AKWA Group, and CDG Invest, and will be used to expand the company's services and develop its innovation platform.
Founded in 2015 by Imad El Mansour Zekri, Cathedis offers a fully digitalized logistics platform that includes same-day delivery, online and on-delivery payment options, and real-time tracking of packages and deliverers.

The startup currently has over 700 active clients and has previously raised funding in 2019.
According to a press statement from Cathedis, the company has been able to achieve significant success thanks to its Moroccan-made innovations, strong potential, and ambitious development strategy. The company's automated sorting center, which was designed and deployed by internal teams, has a capacity of 4,000 parcels per hour, and the company plans to handle 3 million shipments per year by 2024.

The company's CEO, Imad El Mansour Zekri, said that the funding will help Cathedis to consolidate its performance, develop its innovation platform, and accelerate its growth. He also highlighted that the startup is one of Morocco's leading operators of delivery and e-logistics, with technological and industrial solutions that were entirely domestically conceived and installed.
