Bolt Enhances Driver-Partner Experience with Launch of New Driver Engagement Hub

29 Apr 2024

Bolt, a prominent ride-hailing company operating in Nigeria, has unveiled an innovative initiative aimed at improving the overall experience of its driver-partners in the Lagos area. The new "driver engagement hub" promises to provide enhanced support and strengthen the existing tens of thousands of drivers associated with Bolt in the bustling city of Lagos.

Situated at 11 Providence Street, Lekki Phase 1, this cutting-edge driver hub is set to elevate the quality of service experienced by Bolt drivers. The facility offers a range of features and services, including improved driver support, efficient communication channels, valuable training opportunities, community-building activities, swift issue resolution, driver appreciation programs, positive branding, and expedited onboarding processes for new driver-partners, enabling them to hit the road within as little as an hour or two.

In addition to its primary functions, the hub will also double as a Lost and Found center where passengers can reclaim personal items inadvertently left behind in Bolt vehicles during their rides.

Yahaya Mohammed, the Country Manager of Bolt Nigeria, expressed the company's commitment to this initiative, saying, "This is part of our long-standing commitment to invest in our operations to provide better support to our driver-partners and ensure that they continue to thrive. Drivers are at the core of our business, and we want to see them succeed and grow their earnings. We also understand that every moment matters, and we're always looking for ways to optimize the experience of existing and new driver-partners to get the most out of their time on the road."

Yahaya further emphasized the significance of this move by Bolt, highlighting the evolution of their existing driver hub in Lagos, which has been in operation since 2017. He noted, "Given our strong and growing driver community, we were eager to open a more functional, modern, and technologically enabled support center to reinforce our commitment to continually providing real-time, onsite support to our driver-partners."

The new Bolt driver hub is poised to serve as a convenient and swift resource for partners across the entire metro area, enabling them to sign up to drive or inquire about the app, making the onboarding process seamless.

Bolt remains steadfast in its dedication to ensuring an all-encompassing and seamless driver experience while delivering the necessary support drivers require to achieve success in their businesses. The company has reiterated its commitment to incorporating driver feedback into its operations, underlining its focus on constant improvement and driver satisfaction.

With this forward-looking initiative, Bolt is set to further solidify its position in the Nigerian ride-hailing market, prioritizing both the drivers and passengers that make their platform a success.
