Access restrictions on TweetDeck

Twitter users have been expressing their frustrations regarding recent issues with accessing certain features of TweetDeck. In response to this, Twitter has introduced a fresh version of the online tool, which was made available to users starting on Monday. However, in order to use TweetDeck, users will now need to be confirmed within 30 days, as stated by Twitter. This means that only Twitter Blue subscribers, verified organizations, and select individuals with Twitter verification will have access to TweetDeck.

Twitter has assured users that all their saved searches and processes from the previous version of TweetDeck will be carried over to the new version. Additionally, users migrating to the new version will have the ability to import their columns.

On the new TweetDeck, Twitter is offering a range of features, including full composer capabilities, Spaces, video docking, and polls. However, the Teams capability is temporarily unavailable at the moment, as mentioned by Twitter.

To allow customers to try out the new TweetDeck before committing to purchasing Twitter Blue, Twitter is offering a 30-day trial period.

Recently, many TweetDeck functions have been inaccessible due to rate limits imposed by Elon Musk. These limits were implemented to prevent scraping and restrict the number of tweets a user can view.

During the outage, it became apparent that a significant number of social media managers and brands rely on TweetDeck. With the impending transition of TweetDeck to a premium product in the next 30 days, users may start exploring alternatives with more comprehensive features.

After years of testing, Twitter is finally rolling out the new version of TweetDeck internationally under new management.

A corporate employee, in a TweetDeck Twitter community, mentioned that the company deleted legacy APIs to prevent scraping, which had an impact on the web app.

Over the weekend, Elon Musk established daily read limits of 1,000 tweets for non-verified users and 10,000 tweets for verified users.
