Propella Business Incubator
About
Propella is a South African business hub designed for Business 4.0. The hub is home to innovative IT and advanced manufacturing businesses, all located in the same building to foster collaboration between the two sectors. The development of Smart City technologies is supported through a partnership between Engeli Enterprise Development and Innovolve, a commercialisation company owned by Nelson Mandela University. Propella's primary goal is to help commercialise the research and development projects being conducted at Nelson Mandela University, as well as other technology entrepreneurs who approach Propella for support or are identified by the company. Prospective incubatees go through a rigorous selection process to gain access to Propella's support services, which include mentoring and the evaluation of business concepts. Propella's team of experienced ICT and industrial advisors and certified business coaches provide in-depth, individualised support during the program, and their empathy for the entrepreneurs' experiences is highly valued by incubatees.
