About
Twende Hub is a social innovation center providing workspace, tech incubation, and technical mentorship & advising, with the belief of collaborating with students and community members in Tanzania to identify their challenges and design & create their own solutions to their problems will contribute to a world with improved access to technologies that improve people’s lives, a stronger local economy, and a nation of innovators and problem-solvers. The hub runs programs from one day to 8 weeks that encourage creativity and innovative thinking and seeks out participants from primary school students to community members. Participants are introduced to mechanical and electrical crafts and to the process of thinking about the challenges in their communities. They get to make some small devices under instruction as well as create prototypes of devices that could meet the challenge they identified.
