EFG EV is a venture capital firm that provides investment and support to startups in the fintech industry. They offer two separate investment tracks: an accelerator for seed and early-stage startups, which invests up to 1 million Egyptian Pound (EGP) (about 63,000 USD) in cash and over 300,000 EGP (about 19,000 USD) in support functions per startup, and a venture capital arm that invests up to 5 million EGP (about 315,000 USD) in later-stage startups. EFG EV targets companies with existing products, clear business models, and the potential to scale beyond the Egyptian market. They differentiate themselves by offering a variety of tailored services to their portfolio companies, including business model adjustments, go-to market strategy, pitch development, and relationship building with strategic investors and corporate partners. They also provide training, mentorship, office space, administrative support, legal, tax and accounting advice, company management, process support, fundraising and special perks from their partners. Their goal is to help startups grow from seed investment to multiples generating exit.
