Digital Africa is on a mission to equip Africa’s tech entrepreneurs with the capabilities to design and scale-up groundbreaking innovations for the real economy Digital Africa brings together a multinational community of partners who support Africa’s digital entrepreneurs – incubators, financial institutions, venture capitalists, and tech clusters. Digital Africa’s programs are organized around 3 key points Supporting high-impact digital startups: Developing their technical and entrepreneurial expertise and providing digital support, access to finance, exposure to international partners, and access to an open data infrastructure. Fundraising and sourcing finance to scale-up Africa’s tech innovations: Bringing together African and international VCs to partner with Africa’s tech entrepreneurs, creating a Digital Africa investor club, setting up an annual deal book, and fostering partnerships to encourage exchanges between startups and large corporations. Advocating policies that will drive digital entrepreneurship across Africa: Developing an annual index to rate the quality of the regulatory and economic environment, organizing courses promoting open data and innovation and supporting the African Union with strategy development on creating a free-trade zone across Africa.
